Maple, Coffee and Cocoa Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup brewed espresso
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (preferably dark syrup fort its robust flavour)
  • 1 cup milk or unflavoured soy beverage
  • 1/4 cup quick oats
  • 6 ice cubes

Method

  1. Make the espresso (or strong coffee) and allow it to cool.
  2. Place all ingredients in the blender. Whip up and enjoy!

YIELD: 2 portions of 300 ml (approx. 1 1/4 cup) each
