Did you know that Québec exports maple to over 60 countries? More and more people around the world are falling in love with maple. (We’re pretty sure we know why!) And maple syrup, with all its natural properties, is the serious subject of scientific research in Québec and abroad.

A recent study revealed that the maple forests under production are the source of environmental benefits valuable to the planet. They provide ecological goods and services essential to human well-being, amounting to an estimated annual worth of $1 Billion. An unsung natural hero!

Maple syrup comes in four classifications, according to colour and taste.

At the start of sugaring season, syrup is generally clear, with a lightly sweet taste. It becomes darker and caramelized as the season goes on.

An unopened can of maple syrup keeps for many years.

Once the can is opened, syrup should be kept in an airtight container in a cool place.

100% pure maple butter contains no butter or dairy.

Like all 100% pure maple products, maple butter comes from the sap of the maple tree… and that’s all.
