Maple Goat Cheese Crostini

Ingredients

  • 12 round slices of a baguette
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 package of about 250 g of fresh goat cheese
  • 2 tbsp maple sugar
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3/4 cup grilled walnuts
  • 3/4 cup arugula leaves
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F), and grill the slices of baguette for about 15 minutes.
  2. Baste the toasts (crostini) with olive oil, and rub them with the garlic clove.
  3. Spread each crostini with fresh goat cheese, sprinkle with maple sugar, and add a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with grilled walnuts and arugula leaves.
