Maple Kombucha


Non-Alcoholic beverage / Recipes with Maple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 drop maple syrup (preferably amber syrup, for its rich flavour)
  • 3/4 oz Monsieur Cocktail grenadine du terroir
  • 1 oz apple juice
  • 2 drops Angostura bitters
  • 3 oz fruit kombucha*
  • Maple popcorn, to garnish

Method

  1. Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice, and add the first four ingredients.
  2. Stir with a bar spoon until the glass is very cold.
  3. Fill with kombucha.
  4. Garnish with maple popcorn.

*A brewed beverage available at most grocery and health-food stores.

Maple syrup comes in four classifications, according to colour and taste.

At the start of sugaring season, syrup is generally clear, with a lightly sweet taste. It becomes darker and caramelized as the season goes on.

An unopened can of maple syrup keeps for many years.

Once the can is opened, syrup should be kept in an airtight container in a cool place.

100% pure maple butter contains no butter or dairy.

Like all 100% pure maple products, maple butter comes from the sap of the maple tree… and that’s all.
