Maple Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup thick natural yogurt
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (preferably golden syrup for its delicate flavour)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise with yogurt. Add the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Season generously and let rest for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to blend prior to serving.

This dip is excellent for snacks as well as poultry, fish, shellfish and chips.
